Walter Bulwer was a fiddler from Shipdham in Norfolk who played with his wife Daisy on piano and gave violin lessons in their front room. He was born with a withered leg and walked to war work in Dereham on crutches during the First World War. Mervyn Plunkett recorded the couple in the early 1960s. The recordings were influential, and the village still remembers them fondly.
