A Dundee singer from a family steeped in Burns, Sheena Wellington is remembered by a nation for singing A Man’s a Man for a’ That at the opening of the Scottish Parliament in 1999. Her career grew from the St Andrews folk club and a long run on Radio Tay. She has campaigned tirelessly for traditional music as an organiser, and she was Scotland’s first traditional arts development officer.
