This is one of the few plygeiniau still held before dawn on Christmas Day, as all of them once were. It takes place in Hen Gapel John Hughes, the Calvinistic Methodist chapel of 1800 where the hymn writer Ann Griffiths worshipped, and singers take turns to sing the old Welsh carols unaccompanied.
