Torches are lit at 19:00 at Lovers Loan. The procession goes along Main Street and the West Shore to Port Arthur, where the galley is burned and set out to sea.

Shetland’s first fire festival of the year. The Guizer Jarl and his squad lead a torchlit procession of guizers through the village to burn a replica Viking galley, followed by fireworks and a night of visits to halls round Scalloway and Burra.
