Two ‘Osses, men inside hooped black costumes with painted masks, dance through the streets all day, each led by a Teaser and followed by drums, accordions and townspeople in white singing the May song. The day begins with singing round the town just after midnight, and the two ‘Osses meet in the evening.

The Blue Ribbon 'Oss comes out of the Institute on Market Street at 10:00 and the Old 'Oss from the Golden Lion on Lanadwell Street at 11:00. The narrow streets get very crowded, so use the park and ride at the edge of town.
