St Nicholas Church

The horns are collected from St Nicholas Church at 08:00, and the dancers walk about ten miles round the parish, calling at farms and pubs. Around midday they are away from the village centre, so check the published route before you go.

About

Six Deer-men carry old reindeer antlers mounted on carved wooden heads and dance with a Fool, Hobby Horse, Bowman and Maid Marian to a melodeon all day on Wakes Monday. The horns go back to the church in the evening.
