Mousehole remembers Tom Bawcock, a fisherman who in local legend put to sea in a winter storm and brought home enough fish to save the village from famine. Stargazy pie, with fish heads poking up through the crust, is handed out at the Ship Inn for donations to the RNLI, and in some years there is a lantern procession round the harbour.
