Music, markets and street entertainment run round St Patrick's Square and Market Street from noon. The parade leaves the Downshire Estate on Ardglass Road at 13:30, reaches the town centre at about 14:00 and finishes at Rathkeltair car park on Lower Market Street.

About

St Patrick is said to be buried in the grounds of Down Cathedral, and on his feast day Downpatrick holds a parade led by the saint himself, with dancers, community floats and costumed characters. The Saint Patrick Centre and the cathedral are a short walk from the route.
