Pete Seeger spent more than seventy years singing with audiences rather than at them, leading crowds in choruses wherever he went. With the Weavers he helped spark the American folk revival, and he wrote or shaped songs such as Where Have All the Flowers Gone and If I Had a Hammer. He was a tireless campaigner for civil rights, peace and the Hudson River.
