Meredydd Evans

Merêd, as he was widely known, first found fame singing with Triawd y Coleg on the BBC radio show Noson Lawen. With his wife Phyllis Kinney he spent decades researching the traditional songs and tunes of Wales, publishing collections and regular studies in Canu Gwerin. He was also a philosopher, a television producer and a tireless campaigner for the Welsh language.
