Henry Burstow

Henry Burstow was a Horsham shoemaker and a keen bellringer at the parish church, and he lived in the town all his life. He knew some 420 songs, and collectors of the early revival, among them Lucy Broadwood and Ralph Vaughan Williams, noted many of them from him. He also wrote a lively book of recollections about old Horsham.
