Gordon Hall grew up in a singing house near Horsham, and learned many of his songs from his mother, Mabs Hall. Known for one of the finest Sussex voices, he recorded In Horsham Town for Veteran in 1988 and later taped 89 songs on his own Warts and Hall cassettes, now held by Sussex Traditions.
