Bill Leader

Bill Leader was a recording engineer and producer whose tape machine caught much of the British folk revival, often on the simplest of setups. Working for Topic and Transatlantic, he made early records by Bert Jansch, The Watersons, Dick Gaughan and many others. With his wife Helen he founded the Leader and Trailer labels in 1969, and in 2012 he received the Good Tradition award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
