Alan Reid

Born in Glasgow, Alan Reid joined Battlefield Band in 1969 and stayed for more than four decades. He brought keyboards into Scottish folk music, first a pedal organ and later electronic instruments. He left the band at the end of 2010 to concentrate on his own songs. His duo with the Dutch singer and guitarist Rob van Sante made five albums before he went solo in 2020.
