Archie Fisher grew up in a Glasgow family of singers, among them his sisters Ray and Cilla, and became a leading figure of the Scottish folk revival and one of its first steel string guitarists. His songs include The Final Trawl and Witch of the Westmorland. For nearly thirty years he presented Travelling Folk on BBC Radio Scotland, and Barbara Dickson called him her musical mentor.
