Bella Hardy comes from Edale in the Derbyshire Peak District and was born into a family of singers. She released her debut album, Night Visiting, in 2007, her song The Herring Girl won Best Original Song in 2012, and two years later the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards named her Folk Singer of the Year.
