Billy Bragg is a singer, songwriter and activist whose music joins folk, punk and protest song. At the invitation of Nora Guthrie he set unrecorded Woody Guthrie lyrics to music, releasing Mermaid Avenue with Wilco in 1998, and he has long curated the Leftfield stage at Glastonbury.
