Cara Dillon grew up in Dungiven in a family steeped in song, and won the All Ireland singing title as a teenager. After time with the band Equation she began a solo career with her husband, the pianist and producer Sam Lakeman. Her pure, unhurried singing of Irish songs has earned her several BBC folk awards.
