Chris Leslie took up the fiddle at thirteen, with Dave Swarbrick as his mentor, and trained as a violin maker. He was a founder member of Whippersnapper, toured with All About Eve and played in Simon Mayor’s Mandolin Quartet. He joined the Albion Band in 1995 and moved on to Fairport Convention in 1996.
