Dave Mattacks replaced Martin Lamble in Fairport Convention in 1969, left in 1972 for The Albion Country Band and later rejoined Fairport. His session work takes in Morris On, Nick Drake’s Bryter Layter and John Martyn’s Solid Air, making him one of the defining drummers of British folk rock.
