Denny Bartley

Denny Bartley is a singer and guitarist who came to folk music through rock and roll, drawn in by Dick Gaughan, Martin Carthy and Joni Mitchell, and started out on banjo and mandolin before settling on guitar. He met concertina player Chris Sherburn at Whitby Folk Festival in 1993, and the pair have since recorded and toured widely, in Last Night’s Fun, as a duo and with fiddler Emily Sanders.
