Eamonn Campbell grew up in Drogheda and spent years as a session player and producer. He worked on Paddy Reilly’s The Fields of Athenry and on hits for the Fureys and Foster and Allen. He joined the Dubliners in 1987 and, after they retired, carried on with the Dublin Legends. He was still on tour when he fell ill in the Netherlands.
