George Sansome

George Sansome is an English traditional singer and guitarist inspired by Nic Jones and Martin Carthy, with a love of digging songs out of the archives. He has played in the award-nominated trio Granny’s Attic since 2009 and co-founded Queer Folk, which explores LGBTQIA+ stories in traditional song. His self-titled debut solo album of 2020 was well received, and with Matt Quinn he recorded Sheffield Park, released on Grimdon Records in 2023.
