Gordon Duncan, son of the bothy ballad singer Jock Duncan, was taught the chanter by his brother Ian and became one of the most adventurous pipers of his generation. He toured with the Tannahill Weavers, Wolfstone and Dougie MacLean, and set AC/DC’s Thunderstruck for the pipes. Many of his own tunes have passed into the common session repertoire.
