Iain Matthews

Iain Matthews worked as a signwriter before moving to London in 1966, where he became one of the singers in Fairport Convention’s early line up. He left in 1969 to form Matthews Southern Comfort, whose version of Joni Mitchell’s Woodstock reached number one in Britain in 1970. He has gone on to make many records as a solo artist.
