Ian Powrie

Ian Powrie was a Perthshire fiddler whose father was the melodeon player known as the Angus Ploughman. After flying with the RAF in the war he led his own band, recorded for George Martin, and appeared on 86 of the White Heather Club’s hundred shows. He later settled in Australia, where he remained in demand as a fiddler and a judge.
