Jackie Daly learned from his father, a melodeon player, and from the fiddler Jim Keeffe. After years in the Dutch merchant navy he turned professional in the 1970s and won the All Ireland accordion title in 1974. He has played with De Dannan, Patrick Street and Buttons and Bows.
