John Francis Flynn is a Dublin singer who plays flute, whistle and guitar and was a founder of the band Skipper’s Alley. His solo records set old songs among sounds drawn from post punk and improvisation, and he won Best Folk Singer at the 2021 RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards.
