John Spiers plays melodeon, concertina and bandoneon. He made his name with Jon Boden, first in the duo Spiers and Boden and then in the big band Bellowhead. He grew up in Abingdon, where his father danced morris, and session players everywhere know his jig Jiggery Pokerwork.
