June Tabor

June Tabor is one of the great interpreters of English song, with a dark, unhurried voice that brings out the weight in a ballad. She first came to wide notice singing with Maddy Prior as the Silly Sisters, and has since recorded on her own and with Oysterband, Martin Simpson and Iain Ballamy. Her repertoire runs from traditional ballads to jazz standards and new writing.
