Keith Summers was a Southend accountant who founded the magazine Musical Traditions. Through the 1970s he hitch hiked around Suffolk with a tape recorder, recording singers, step dancers and musicians in pubs such as the Ship at Blaxhall. Topic Records issued Sing, Say and Play and The Earl Soham Slog from his tapes. He also recorded singers in Fermanagh.
