Maddy Prior has been the voice of Steeleye Span since the band formed in 1969, taking traditional English songs into the charts with All Around My Hat and Gaudete. Before that she sang in a duo with Tim Hart, and she has also recorded solo, with June Tabor and with the Carnival Band.
