Martin Simpson is one of the finest acoustic and slide guitarists in folk music, equally at home with English ballads and American blues. He toured supporting Steeleye Span in the 1970s and has since made a long run of acclaimed albums. His thoughtful singing and songwriting have won him a string of BBC folk awards.
