Mary Hopkin was one of the first artists signed to the Beatles’ Apple label, and in 1968 her recording of Those Were the Days went to number one in Britain. She has kept making music on her own terms ever since, often with her children, and in 2023 she released Two Hearts with her daughter Jessica Lee Morgan.
