Matt Molloy won the All Ireland flute title at seventeen. He went on to play with the Bothy Band and Planxty, and with The Chieftains from 1979. His playing brings the ornaments of the uilleann pipes to the flute and has shaped a generation of flute players. He runs a pub in Westport, County Mayo, that is well known for its traditional sessions.
