Mike Waterson founded the Watersons with his sisters Norma and Lal and their cousin John Harrison. His strong, weathered voice anchored the group’s unaccompanied harmonies. He wrote songs as well as singing traditional ones, recording Bright Phoebus with Lal and a solo album of his own in 1977.
