Peggy Seeger grew up in a family steeped in American folk music and made her home in Britain, where she worked with Ewan MacColl, her partner and later husband, on the Radio Ballads and much else. Her own songs include Gonna Be an Engineer, a feminist anthem. She plays banjo, guitar and concertina and marked her ninetieth birthday with a farewell tour.
