Peter Bellamy

Peter Bellamy sang with Royston and Heather Wood in The Young Tradition, whose unaccompanied close harmony stirred the folk clubs of the late 1960s. On his own he set many of Rudyard Kipling’s poems to traditional style tunes. His ballad opera The Transports, based on a true story of transportation to Australia, featured Martin Carthy and June Tabor.
