Died
26 November 1971, Bath, Somerset

Rolf Gardiner took English dancers to Germany in 1922 and in 1924 founded the Travelling Morrice with Arthur Heffer, touring morris and sword dances abroad. At Springhead in Dorset he built a ring of friends around music, dance and rural crafts, and he was a founder member of the Soil Association.
