Ted Cobbin spent most of his life in Great Glemham, Suffolk. He worked as a stockman on the local estate, looking after pigs, cows and sheep and later the horses. He played melodeon with Peter Plant at the Crown in Great Glemham and sang there, but rarely played anywhere else. Keith Summers recorded him in the 1970s, and after his death the estate named Cobbin’s Barn in his memory.
