Tom Hughes

Tom Hughes was a ploughman all his working life and the finest keeper of the Borders fiddle style in his generation. He taught himself by copying his father and grandfather, and he played at kirns, weddings and hiring fair dances. He later led the Kalewater and Rulewater bands, and his grandson Jimmy Nagle carries his music on.
