Virginia Kettle

Virginia Kettle was born in Manchester and grew up in Chester. Recording as Virginia Barrett, she made two solo albums, The Quiet Bridge and Sense of Human, before forming the folk rock band Merry Hell with her husband John and his brothers. She is one of the band’s lead singers and main songwriters, and her 2020 solo album No Place Like Tomorrow was warmly reviewed. She also plays solo club dates.
