Walter Pardon

Walter Pardon lived his whole life in the Knapton cottage where he was born and worked as a carpenter from the age of fourteen. He learned his songs from older relatives and kept them when few of his generation cared to. Nobody outside his family knew him as a singer until he was nearly sixty, but he went on to record several albums and pass a large repertoire to younger singers.
