Woody Guthrie grew up in Oklahoma and took to the road during the Dust Bowl years, writing songs about migrant workers, hard times and ordinary people. This Land Is Your Land became one of the best loved songs in America. His plain spoken style shaped the folk revival and inspired Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger and countless others.
