The churchwardens’ accounts of Lambeth for 1515 and 1516 recorded hock money gathered by both the men and the women for the church. The women collected more than the men. Strutt took the entries from a memoir on Hoke-day in Archaeologia.

In the churchwarden's accounts for the parish of Lambeth for the years 1515 and 1516, are several entries of hock monies received from the men and the women for the church service.
