Once every seven years an estate at Husborne Crawley in Bedfordshire had to pay four pounds on Rogation Day towards walking the parish bounds. The money covered the cost of the perambulation and of keeping the boundary marks in repair. Chambers notes it among the small endowments that paid for Rogation processions, since parishes could not charge them to the rates.
