Aberystwyth’s St David’s Day parade, Parêd Gŵyl Dewi, has walked through the town every year since 2013 on the Saturday nearest 1 March. Each year a Tywysydd, a guide chosen for their service to the town’s Welsh culture, leads schoolchildren from the town and surrounding villages, Welsh learners, bands and a red dragon through the streets. Shops compete for the best St David’s Day window display.
