A team of eight dancers in white skirts and clogs, with wooden discs called nuts strapped to their hands, knees and waists, dance a route of about seven miles through Bacup and Stacksteads with the Stacksteads Band. They perform garland dances and nut dances, clapping out the rhythm on the nuts.

They set off from the Old Travellers Rest in Britannia at 09:00, dance through Bacup town centre from late morning into the afternoon, and finish at the Glen in Waterfoot in the evening. The full timetable is on their website.
