About

Conwy’s Honey Fair goes back more than 700 years to the town’s charter from Edward I, which let local beekeepers sell honey inside the walls on 13 September without paying a toll. Beekeepers from across North Wales still bring honey, honeycomb and beeswax to stalls in the High Street and Lancaster Square. The fair had dwindled by the 1980s and was revived in 1990 by the local beekeepers’ association.
