About

Dinas Mawddwy keeps its plygain on 6 January, the Feast of the Epiphany, at Capel Ebeneser. Plygain was once a candlelit service before dawn on Christmas morning; in Montgomeryshire and the Mawddwy area the tradition never lapsed, and parties of singers still take turns to sing old Welsh carols unaccompanied, without any announcements between them.
